Dr. Alana Waterford graduated cum laude honors from Arizona State University with a major in microbiology and minor in religion. Dedicated to her work, Dr. Waterford has received first place in the research categories at multiple conferences. This involvement, along with vast training, has prepared her to treat a broad spectrum of orthopaedic problems as a Wellness Physician and Sports Medicine. We are also delighted to have Dr. Waterford’s perspective as a Crossfit certified instructor at Cross Timber Orthopaedics.

Dr. Cheryl Nickerson PhD, Center for Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology.  Microbes, space flight, and human health to provide more information to help immune-compromised astronauts. Project worked to determine how microorganisms grow in disposable growth environments to simulate the low sheer microgravity found in space and spacecrafts. Proteins and microbial DNA were extracted to collect data to compare the bacterial growth in the spacecraft vs. bacterial growth in disposable growth environments.
